Gridnick is a safety glass centerpiece that was born by mistake. Made from classic safety glass embedded with a metal wire mesh, it uses the slumping technique—typically used for shaping glass through heat. Unexpectedly, this method allowed the glass and metal to deform together without shattering, resulting in a unified, sculptural form.
